Aeromexico (AM) was founded and commenced on 1 October 1988 and is flag carrier airline of Mexico City. The predecessor of Aeromexico was Aerovías de México which was founded on 14 September 1934 by Antonio Diaz. Aeromexico is one of the founder members of SkyTeam airline alliance and has four subsidiaries Aeroméxico Cargo, Aeroméxico Connect, Aeroméxico Express and Aeroméxico Servicios. Its primary hub is Mexico City International Airport and the secondary hub is General Mariano Escobedo International Airport, Monterrey. The headquarters of Aeromexico is in Mexico City. The frequent flier programme of Aeromexico is Club Premier.
Aeromexico serves more than 80 destinations in Mexico, America – North, South and Central, the Caribbean, Europe and Asia. Some of the well-known destinations include Panama City, Santo Domingo, Toronto, Boston, Vancouver, Medellín, Amsterdam, Cozumel, Austin, Shanghai, Tokyo, and Paris.
One carry-on bag is allowed with a weight limit of 10kg and the passenger can also carry a personal item such as a purse or a briefcase or a laptop within 3kg limit but Assistive devices and outer garments do not count as personal items. The first checked baggage the weight of which is limited to 23kg is usually free and a second free bag is also allowed on the routes of Asia and South America. Premier class customers are allowed two free bags which can increase to three bags for flights flying to Asian and South American destinations.
Aeromexico has a fleet size of 68 aircraft which include Boeing 737-700, Boeing 737-800, Boeing 737, Boeing 777-200ER, Boeing 787-8 and Boeing 787-9.

Aeromexico gives you varied options of check-in before or after reaching the airport. You can either check-in online or on automated Kiosk or on the counter in the airport. In a web check-in for domestic flights boarding pass can be printed 48 hours prior departure and in international flights 24 hours before departure. In the Kiosk check-in for domestic and international flights printed boarding pass can be procured 24 hours before departure. The check-in closes 2 hours before the departure in both the cases.
For international flights, you need to carry your passport, Visa and medical certificate if required. Hand baggage and weight should be according to the flight rules which you will travel. The items, for example, knife, lighter, matchbox, and chemicals, etc. are not permitted to carry for security reasons according to Dangerous Goods Regulations Act (DGR). Check-in should be done least 3hrs. preceding the flight time.
