Agri formerly known as Karaköse is the capital of Agri Province in the Kurdish region of Turkey located at the eastern end of Turkey. Agri shares the border with Armenia, Iran, and Azerbaijan. Agri is named after the Turkish name of the Mount Ararat, the tallest peak in Turkey covered with fog and snow for the major time of year. The city is enrolled in the major regional activity of agriculture and animal husbandry.
